Game Four Coverage: The Somerset Patriots are a game away from winning their fourth Atlantic League Championship, and send Kip Bouknight to the mound tonight.

The team takes optional BP at 4 PM, and I should have lineups somewhere around 6.

L.J. Biernbaum, CF
Ron Davenport, DH
Tyler Von Schell, 1B

Josh Arhart, C
Jake Dittler, P

Josh Pressley, 1B
Brandon Larson, 3B
Jason Belcher, DH

6:35 PM — Bored — imagine that — so here’s a stat. The Patriots are 20-16 in the postseason, including a 6-2 record against the Riversharks. They’re 10-6 at home and 10-10 on the road.

6:55 PM — Just came up from being down on the field. Here’s a look at Kip Bouknight warming up.

Hard to believe that I covered this guy a few months ago when he was pitching for Reading and didn’t think anything of it, and now he’s on the mound for what may be the biggest game ever played at Commerce Bank Ballpark.

7:30 PM — And we’re actually through an inning and a half here…30 minutes and it’s in the bottom of the 2nd, hard to believe after last night. In any event, it’s scoreless, B2.

7:45 PM — We have a Ray Navarrete sighting in the stands. Nice that the guy cares enough to come by and check out the championship series…he was just in the playoffs a couple days ago, so he certainly has an interest in who wins. Looks like Chris Eickhorst is here as well, another former Patriot.

7:50 PM — L.J. Biernbaum gives the Riversharks an early 1-0 lead on a single to right.

8:15 PM — 1-0, Camden, T5.

8:50 PM — Bouknight’s out after 5.2 pretty solid innings. 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K for Bouknight. Jason Richardson’s in the game now. Bouknight appeared to have no interest in leaving the ballgame. Nice outing so far out of Jake Dittler from Camden as well. That’s two solid postseason starts from him, and he’s still going strong. 1-0, Camden, T6.

8:51 PM — Richardson induced a two-out lineout to short to get the Patriots out of a bit of a jam. Camden’s still up 1-0, B6.

9:00 PM — One out is all Richardson was asked to get, apparently. Brian Tollberg’s coming out to pitch the 7th. The Riversharks are still clinging to a 1-0 lead, T7.

9:05 PM — Tollberg’s out after allowing a runner to reach base and getting an out on a sac bunt. Jon Hunton now pitching with one out and a runner on second, T7.

9:25 PM — The Patriots were able to get a runner to second base after a throwing error by the catcher, but Travis Anderson struck out looking to end the inning on a full count pitch that he thought he walked on. He was very animated after the call. 1-0, Camden, T8.

9:35 PM — Ron Davenport just doubled to left field, but a run scored after Elliott Ayala made a wild throw to second base. Camden’s now up 2-0, and with the way Somerset’s offense has been going…uhhh, that’s about all she wrote. 2-0, Camden, T8.

9:36 PM — Sheldon Fulse lined one to first, and Josh Pressley made a nice stab to make the catch. Unfortunately, he apparently didn’t know how many outs there were, and failed to throw to second to double off the runner, who was about halfway to third when the catch was made. But the next batter, Michael Thompson, grounded to short, and got the Patriots out of it. 2-0, Camden, B8. New pitcher in for Camden, it has to be Felix Rodriguez…

7 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 2 K for Dittler. And yes, it is Rodriguez in the game to start the 8th. I’d imagine you’ll see Alec Zumwalt in the final frame to shut the door.

9:52 PM — How good is Sean Smith? The guy just turned in a professional at-bat, missing popping out twice by a matter of inches in the process. He then doubles to left, and Teuris Olivares drives him in to cut the lead in half. How bad does Elliott Ayala’s play look right now? And why did it take until now for Zumwalt to get up in the pen? 2-1, Camden, two on, one out, B8

10:02 PM — Rodriguez got Brandon Larson to strike out swinging, but hit Jason Belcher to load the bases for Matt Hagen. Huge, huge at-bat here, obviously…

10:04 PM — He hit Hagen. We’re tied. Wow.

That will be all for Rodriguez. Zumwalt’s now in with the bases loaded, two outs, the game tied and Ryan Radmanovich up. Again, wow.

10:10 PM — Radmanovich struck out on a 3-2 pitch. What a game this has been. 2-2, T9.

10:14 PM — Brian Reith now in to pitch the 9th.

10:22 PM — Reith strikes out the side. Going to the bottom of the 9th. The Patriots can win it all on any pitch. Crazy. Anderson-Ayala-Smith are the batters…

I’d put money on Smith being the hero…
