Kid Hit By Bat Recovering, Getting Goodies: The 7-year-old boy hit by Josh Pressley’s bat last night is apparently getting better and was to receive a call from Pressley. The Patriots are also signing some items for the kid, so it’s good to see this was handled the right way.

I think I mentioned this happening last night…and the bat was coming in at a pretty good rate of speed. It just got over the dugout and seemed to ricochet around in the seats a little bit.

SignedBorn: The Lancaster Barnstormers have signed P Chris Steinborn to a contract. He will start for the club on Friday.

He has pitched for both the Road Warriors and Revolution in the Atlantic League, and went 8-14 with a 6.13 ERA for York last year. – MA

Another Man’s Treasure: The Long Island Ducks have inked DH Kyle Nichols. Nichols has spent the past three months with three different organizations, the Ducks being his fourth. Interesting. – Scott Stanchak

So much for completing the Opening Day Partners cycle… yet. He’s still gotta hit up York.

I’m so glad to hear that the boy who got hit with the bat is doing better!
Josh Pressley is a class guy, and I’m sure he was/is quite upset over what happened.

It’s really amazing there aren’t more incidents like this boy getting hit. Thank goodness he is recovering. An d The Pats are showing their true class.
