Good Job By Bridgeport: Sounds like the ballpark is pretty packed tonight in Bridgeport. If I’m going to be critical of them one day, it’s only fair to praise them the next.

Low attendance has plagued the Bluefish organization for quite some time, so it must be a nice sight to see a full ballpark. – MA

Thank goodness for fireworks I guess. I’m glad all those folks were able to see a win. Maybe they’ll visit again, and not just to see the fireworks.

Thanks for the shout out.
Working 6 days a week…all work and not a lot of time for play is keeping me from attending Bluefish games with any frequency.

I’m still a Bluefish fan. I’m just doing it from an “arms length”, I guess. Hard to get revved up knowing how badly the guys really do NOT want to be here. (not just Bridgeport, either). I guess I always knew it, deep down, but after last season ended, reality hit me, and hit me hard.

Plus the front office eliminated the 10 game mini-plan and didn’t offer a discount on the 5 game plan. I bought the 5 game plan but I couldn’t really afford to buy a bigger plan without a discount (and why should I give them all that money up front if there’s no savings?) I have tix for 3 more games. And I have to work at the Booster Table 2 more times this season, so I’ll be there those 5 nights anyway.

With gas approaching $5 a gallon, my company downsized and I’m lucky to have the two jobs I have, electricity costs are ridiculous, It costs over $70 a week for groceries for one person and one cat….vet bills…etc. There’s just not extra money or time to spend on the Bluefish this year.

So that’s why you haven’t heard from me. I haven’t really been there this season (though I went to 2 games this week…they lost ugly both nights, I left before the end in disgust both nights and was home by 9:30). Its just really painful to watch them play as badly as they did the few times I was there.
I’m a baseball fan. I always wil be. And the baseball that I’ve seen this season so far in Bridgeport–not really all that entertaining.

So I’ve been quiet…..aren’t you glad you asked? 😉
