We want to wish everyone a very happy and safe Memorial Day!

Here’s a quick note…

Chick Out This Signing: Jason Guarente is reporting Lancaster has signed first baseman/catcher Dave Adamchick. The former Keystone College graduate has no pro experience, only playing in the Arizona Winter League. He’ll serve as the team’s bullpen catcher and backup infielder. – Scott Stanchak

Stavisky Signed: Guarente also has all the details on Lancaster OF Brian Stavisky signing with the Los Angeles Angels.

Stavisky was hitting .282 with five home runs and 20 RBI this season for the Barnstormers. He becomes the second Lancaster player signed in less than a week, with Vasili Spanos leaving for the Marlins organization several days ago.

Ezi Trade: The York Revolution have traded OF Travis Ezi to the Bridgeport Bluefish in exchange for INF Jake Daubert.

Ezi continues to get second chances in this league because of his speed, despite the fact he was hitting just .186 with one home run and nine RBI with 20 home runs at the time of the trade. He also only had three steals.

Daubert, who can play anywhere in the field, wasn’t doing too much better, however. He was hitting .237 with two home runs and 15 RBI in 26 games in Bridgeport. – MA

Daubert had problems playing the outfield.

Ezi may have speed, but does he have an attitude problem?

Just wondering what Bluefish are getting here….

I don’t think you are gonna have any attitude problems from Ezi. He’s always been a stand-up guy. In fact most York fans are very sorry to see him go.

Ezi is a very hard worker and will run any and everything in the outfield down. So with that said he will always play excellent defence. When in the line up every day he will hit. I think York has made a mistake by trading him for the second time. He hit when he lefted York for the Road Warriors last year and I think the same goes for this year. He doesn’t have a attitude problem.
