Blader-Gone: Lancaster’s Ian Bladergroen will be out for four to six weeks with a broken bone in his hand, according to Barnstormin’s Jason Guarente.

For a team that was in contention, this would be considered a death blow, but even this early in the season, Lancaster seems to be long removed from any chance at a first half title.

Bladergroen’s production will be hard to replace: his six home runs were tied for second best in the league, and his 26 RBI were tops in the Atlantic League. – MA

Not only is that a big blow for the Stormers, it obviously really sucks for Bladergroen as well. Its almost been the story of his career. His bright minor league career was sidetracked a couple times by injuries which is what eventually led him to the RWs last year. Now with a very strong start to the season, right when you think he’s a strong candidate to get signed, another injury.
