Coach Coming, Coach Going — To Another Team: My man Jason Guarente of the Lancaster New Era is reporting that Sam Snider, the longtime Baltimore Orioles bullpen coach, has left the Barnstormers to join the York Revolution’s coaching staff.

The move makes sense for Snider, who will now work with several former Orioles, including manager Chris Hoiles.

Replacing Snider will be Charles “Boots” Day. The former big-leaguer (St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Montreal Expos) spent last season as the Triple-A hitting coach with the Washington Nationals.

We Have A Trade: The Worcester Tornadoes of the Can-Am League traded RHP Ryan Bicondoa to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. The Tornadoes will get a player to be named later in return.

Bicondoa was once traded with two players from the New York Yankees to the Mets for Armando Benitez. He also has experience in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Last year he was an impressive 10-2 with a 2.82 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 18 starts.

Hobson saw Bicondoa pitch last year and obviously wanted him on the expansion franchise this year. In honor of Hobson’s latest signing, here’s a video clip of him going nuts.

More Coming To The Barn: Mike Gross of the Lancaster Sunday News is reporting that SS Danny Gonzalez will return to the club. Gonzalez is currently playing in Mexico. – Scott Stanchak
