York Yanks Two More Onto Roster: My man (Jim Seip) over at the York Daily Record is reporting that the York Revolution have inked two more players for this season. The first, big-league veteran, Dave Veres. Veres spent 10 seasons in the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals, Montreal Expos, Houston Astros, Colorado Rockies and Chicago Cubs. Jim does a great job profiling the 41-year-old’s comeback.

The Revolution also signed former Road Warrior center fielder Travis Ezi. That gives them 10 players under contract so far. – Scott Stanchak

Dave Veres could give the league a real nice comeback story this year. I wish him well in his attempt to get back to the big leagues.

Hey Mike or Scott, I just happened to be browsing around the Can-Am League’s website and under transactions I saw this for February 15:

Nashua: Traded OF Richard Giannotti, LHP Beau Hintz and OF John Ramistella to Southern Maryland (Atlantic League) in exchange for future considerations.

I don’t think this has been posted before. Good to see Butch usin’ those Nashua connections.

Looks like the Barnstormers have some catching up to do as far as signings go.
