Jeff Nettles Talks: He’s one of the Somerset Patriots all-time most popular players, and now he’s gearing up for another season in Triple-A. Jeff Nettles re-signed with the Kansas City Royals this off-season and is looking forward to the opportunity he has in front of him.

I spoke with the third baseman via text this morning and here’s our conversation…

Scott: “What’s up dude? So Royals again? Like your chances of a call-up this year?

Jeff: “Yep. Goin back. Competing for AAA 3B job. No guarantees. Make that team than well c what happens. Hopefully all goes well and i get a call. One step at a time.”

Scott: “Nice man. Hope things work out. Hows the off-season been? Golfing a lot? I got out a few times. Need to work on the short shots though.”

Jeff: “Thanks bro. Not playin that much golf. To cold. Off seasons been good. Just workin and keepin in shape.”

Scott: “Are you still in Jersey?”

Jeff: “Yah. Bridgewater. Working @ Jack Cust BBall academy.”

Scott: “Ok cool. Well have a good rest of the off-season. I’ll hit you up in a few months man.”

Jeff: “Good deal man. Take care.”
