They Like Herr. They Really Like Herr: Jason Guarente reports that Tom Herr is a possibility to manage in Lancaster in 2008, with Butch Hobson’s name also coming up.

Herr managed the team in 2005 and 2006, but left for affiliated ball following leading Lancaster to their first championship.

The immortal Frank Klebe was canned shortly after the start of the second half, and was replaced by Rick Wise, who seems to want to return to the team in 2008, but it’s unlikely he’ll be back in the capacity of manager. – Mike Ashmore

What a difference a day makes. After looking awful thursday night against Newark that went over 4 hours in 9 innings and losing,The Ducks pulled out an 11 inning well pitched win in the rain on Kevin Haverbusch’s homerun. Randy Leek and Bryan Edawards both pitched well, and Travis Wade gave the Ducks a bullpen a much needed shot in the arm with innings of solid relief. And the game only went about 3and a half hours. And Mick Foley was at the game.

Mike – I noticed on the latest episode of “Rescue Me”, that aired on 9/12, they shot a good part of it at a Bears/Patriots game at Newark. Do you know when they did this? Did they actually shoot at a live game or was it staged or edited in?

Mick goes to a lot of Duck games and is great with the fans and the kids that approach him while he is there.

This was shot in I want to say July, when the Pats were in Newark.

They did shoot at an actual game.

On a side note, I can’t stand Denis Leary…
