Suarez To Ducks: The Long Island Ducks have acquired Road Warriors SS Gabe Suarez in an apparent trade for P Kevin Mannix. How they can trade a player whose rights they already own back to the Road Warriors is a little beyond me, but in any case, Suarez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in his Ducks debut.

Certainly, this will sit well with other teams around the league. – Mike Ashmore

Where is Edgardo Alfonzo? Is he hurt?

2. GolfDude - September 7, 2007

Mannix is not RW property.. he was signed by the ducks in April and assigned to the RW

Yeah, Mannix was LI property. On August 28th Mannix was returned to Long Island, according to AL Transactions. It also says “Gabe Suarez contract assigned to Long Island Ducks.”

Road Warriors will have another home game on Saturday in Bridgeport. Pictures on video board and walk up music will be used as well.

I haven’t heard anything official about the RW being the home team on Saturday. Has there been a press release about it?
I have only heard it bounced around on here….

Glad to see the Bluefish giving the Warriors walk-up music. Interesting to see what they pick. Hope they have the same results as Newark.
