Yo, Adrian: The Somerset Patriots have signed former Major League outfielder Adrian Brown.

Brown has played for the Pirates, Red Sox, Royals and Rangers. He was with Texas just last season, playing 25 games for them.

“Adrian’s experience at the Major League level will make him a threat in our lineup. He’s a guy who spent time last season in the Majors and has shown to be a solid player at every level of the game,” said GM Patrick McVerry in a team release.

The Patriots still have at least two more players on the verge of signing contracts, including P Casey Cahill and a Single-A outfielder. – Mike Ashmore

Gracias. Your boy Boof actually started the only Triple-A game I’ve ever covered to date — perhaps one day I’ll get to cover him in the big leagues.
