Bears Lose Another: It looks like the Newark Bears will have another hole to fill in their coaching staff this off-season. Word out of Newark is that Victor Torres has left the team to take a job with the San Francisco Giants organization. Torres was well-liked within the organization not only for his work on the field, but his work in the community as well.

Booth Q&A Transcript: For a transcript of last night’s live Q&A with Jeremy Booth, check out yesterday’s news and read the comments. As I said yesterday, I’m expecting to have a few more of these during the off-season, a few people have already expressed interest in doing one. – Mike Ashmore

Hmmmm…Interesting about Victor Torres. Could it be that Wayne (Krenchicki) & Steve (Foucault) are going to Newark & Victor felt it would not be in his best interest to stick around with the guys that gave his spot to Brad Strauss? I will miss Victor-he’s a great guy! Quincy Foster is with the S.F. Giants org.-maybe he & Victor will work together again if his new team happens to be the Conn. Defenders.

I believe Victor’s job will be in rookie ball.

Also, I’m working on getting a former Shark for a Q&A, so stay tuned.
