Gonzalez Update: I spoke to Ducks GM Michael Hirsch last night regarding the Juan Gonzalez situation, and he said that it was determined that Gonzalez wasn’t healthy enough for everyday play in the outfield. Therefore, he was deactivated. However, Hirsch told me Gonzalez is still with the team and didn’t rule out him returning.

The impression I got was that his return is more in the hands of the medical people than it is team officials, which would likely welcome his return.

He mentioned that Gonzalez was placed on the list of players eligible for postseason play, as was Todd Erdos, although no new information on his return was learned. – Mike Ashmore

Heartbreaking and frustrating loss for the Sharks tonight…one they couldn’t afford to lose. Great pitching but once again the error(s)/unearned runs cost them the game. Still not giving up hope yet. Haven’t seen Skrehot in the lineup for 4-5 days now… any news on him? Tomorrow is the Sharks last regular season home game. I can’t believe the season has gone by so fast. I’m not ready for it to end.
