Lancaster Acquires One: The Barnstormers have acquired P Josh Stevens from the Nashua Pride of the Can-Am League for a player to be named never.

Bridgeport Signs Outfielder: The Bridgeport Bluefish have signed OF Darryl Brinkley to a contract. The 37-year-old has pretty much played everywhere — except the big leagues, that is — and joins a returning T.J. Mathews on the roster.

Modica Not On Roster: P Greg Modica is not on the latest copy of the Long Island Ducks roster.

Updating what I previously wrote, Modica has tendonitis in his shoulder, not a tear in his labrum. – Mike Ashmore

M and Scott-

Now with the guys back, do you think that the Patriots will release a player this late into the season?

3. AtlanticLeagueBaseball.com - September 8, 2006

Probably. They need another starter or two…Elder and Urban are starting, but not starters.

Any News on if Jeremy Booth is coming back to the AL? Obviously he’s not going to Somerset now, what about somewhere else?

Hey Duck fans, here’s your chance to ask Frank Boulton some questions. Chris King said, on his broadcast of the Ducks game on Friday night, that fans can send in questions for Frank, and Chris will ask them to Frank on a future radio broadcast. You can send your questions (via e-mail) to: radio@liducks.com. Please include your name and what town you’re from in the e-mail and Chris will ask them to Frank.

I did speak to Jeremy tonight, actually…but to be honest, I haven’t really heard anything regarding him coming back to the league just yet.

I received confirmation from the Ducks that Modica has not been released, he is simply inactive.
