Win a set of 2006 Somerset Patriots Baseball Cards: For your chance to win a set of the just released 2006 Patriots baseball cards, make sure you pick up a copy of the Hunterdon County Democrat on Thursday and correctly answer the trivia question at the end of the article. But, if you don’t win, there is another way to get your hands on a set.

Stop by Commerce Bank Ballpark and pick up a set at the gift shop. A limited number of uncut sheets are also available, perfect to get signed on an autograph Sunday.

Shiell To Start: According to a Richmond Braves press release, former Patriots P Jason Shiell was scratched from his most recent start in Richmond in anticipation of a possible spot start for Atlanta on Tuesday. Definitely something to keep an eye on…

Bears Moves: The team has signed P Ernesto Delgado, who has experience in the Indians system, and released P Nick Maness.

Ducks Standouts: Not surprisingly, the Ducks had several outstanding performances in last night’s 20-1 squashing of the Road Warriors.

Rob Cafiero went 4-for-5 with 3 RBI to up his season average to an impressive .364
Kevin Haverbusch was 4-for-5 with 3 RBI.
Brad King 3-for-5 with 5 RBI.

The Ducks hit ZERO home runs and still put up a twenty spot on the road dogs. Matt Scheuing allowed 12 earned runs on 15 hits in 2.2 innings of work. – Mike Ashmore

I’m my own toughest critic, so maybe somebody will like it. I dunno, I really only had a day to work on it and I don’t think it came out all that great.

Would be good to see Shiell get back to the show, I might have to give him a call.

Hey Mike, you forgot to mention Juan Gone’s outstanding performance on Sunday. O for 0 in 0 innings played and 0 appearances. That’s a lot of 0’s to be proud of!
