All-Star Game: I’d say my chances of going are about one in ten at this point. Then again, that’s far better than a lot of the players who’ve been bowing out of the game lately…at least I actually want to go.

Basically, read Rich Elliott’s stuff in The Connecticut Post if you want the All-Star scoop. He’s got all sorts of stuff that hasn’t been made available anywhere else…he’s got home run derby participants, he’s got players vote totals, he’s got updated rosters, the guy’s pretty much got everything you’d want. He even has a prize breakdown for the home run derby. Head on over to connpost.com for all the latest. – Mike Ashmore

Yes, I rather enjoyed the sky turning pitch black over my house yesterday afternoon. That was pretty much all I needed to see to tell me to stay home.

As I said in the 7/13 news post, I’m not going to go and risk spending somewhere in the vicinity of $200 (transportation, hotel, other expenses) to head out there and see nothing. I’m glad they got the game in, and when it comes to Lancaster in ’07 or Somerset in likely ’08, hopefully I can check it out then.

As for the player vote total thing, Rich had Wesson’s voting numbers, and I’d assume there’s a list floating around somewhere that has all of them.

If I see it, I’ll post the numbers — but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
