Need Your Help: Here’s the skeleton for my update – am I missing anyone? Haven’t done this in a while, so I want to make sure I’m not leaving anyone out.

Patriots Sign Pitcher: Justin Wechsler is the newest Patriot, putting the team at 11 pitchers. The righty spent last season with the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Wechsler was added to the Diamondbacks 40-man roster after the 2004 season, but never made it past Double-A with the organization, despite a strong 2005 Spring Training.

He was drafted in the 4th round of the 2001 draft and was a teammate of current Marlins standout Dan Uggla for four years in the D’Backs organization. The Indiana native attended Ball State University.

This move puts the Patriots at 24 players, but a cut is still likely to happen within a week or so. Check out my Thursday article in the Hunterdon County Democrat for more on this.

Bears Make Three Moves: Newark has activated P Carlos Mirabal, inactive since the start of the year. He will make the start tonight against Somerset. Also, the team has signed INF Alexis Hernandez (not Lancaster’s Alex) and put P Silvio Censale on the DL. – Mike Ashmore

I talked to the Pats GM for an article everyone’s bound to hate that comes out on Thursday – and he said he sees the team at 23…maybe 24 guys. So you can do the math on that.

Mike…aren’t you missing Jason Bowers (ex Barnstormer) in AAA?

5. AtlanticLeagueBaseball.com - June 13, 2006

Yeah, pretty much all of this year’s pick-ups aren’t on there. Good job on my part.

Just because the article is coming out on Thursday –

A) Doesn’t mean there will be a cut, and…

B) …if there is, it won’t necessarily be Thursday.

Added this year’s pick-ups. Again, really awesome job by me not to do that originally. The stats will be up at some point tonight, doing one of these is a bit more work than I think people realize.

Does anyone know if the Camden Riversharks are the ONLY minor league baseball team NOT to have their games broadcast on local radio? I’ve been to numerous games all up & down the East Coast & they’re the only team I’ve ever been out to see without it. I live in Philly & follow the Riversharks but miss not being able to lounge in the backyard at night listening to the Sharks (on off nights for the Phillies of course!).

Do the Road Warriors count?

I believe the Bears broadcasts are only available online.

Mike…I think you do a great job with the affiliation report. That’s info that is really useful on here!

Ashmore, who was the attractive lady I saw on your arm in Raritan on Sunday?

Haha wow…if you’re going to be watching me from a far, at least say hi or something. I don’t bite or anything. I have fans everywhere, apparently. To answer your question, just a friend.

Mike has a stalker.

Bears games are definitely available online. Not sure if they’re on radio right now.
