Sharks Sign Four: The Camden Riversharks added four to their roster, including Travis Phelps, who has MLB experience with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Milwakee Brewers. The club also added Michael Floyd, the older brother of Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Gavin Floyd, as well as catchers John Pachot and Kevin Ciarrachy.

Bears Sign Former Big Leaguer: One pitcher that Mike has been alluding to as of recently just signed with the Newark Bears today. Former Houston Astros arm Jeriome Robertson agreed to terms with the club and is a former 15-game winner. – Scott Stanchak.

Useless Travis Phelps Fact: Drafted in the 89th round in 1996, Phelps is the lowest round draftee to ever play in the majors. The pitcher appeared in 79 games with Tampa Bay and Milwaukee in 2001, 2002 and 2004.

Laxton Won’t Return: According to a source close to the situation, 2005 AL Pitcher of the Year Brett Laxton will not return to Camden this year, instead opting to pitch in Taiwan.

Also, I’m hearing the team has re-signed closer Ben Grezlovski and reached an agreement with OF Gary Johnson. Also, there’s a rumor that the team is trying to sign what would be the biggest star in team history, and yes I remember Ruben Sierra.

Surf Acquire One More: The Washington Wild Things traded RHP Matt Brumit to Atlantic City for a player to be named later. The player will likely take the form of a check or some bats and cleats or something like that. Possibly a wheel of cheese, who knows. Anyway, the Surf owe teams about five or six players based on their off-season deals, and I think we all know none of their guys are going anywhere.
