Single-Season Triples Record Holder Returns: Lino Connell, who holds the Atlantic League single season record for most triples with 12 in 1999 for the Lehigh Valley Black Diamonds, signed with the Camden Riversharks. The infielder played in the Mexican League this season.

Erdos Update: A source close to the situation reports that Ducks closer Todd Erdos is not hurt and is expected to return to the team before the season is over. My best guess is that he was placed on the inactive list to make room so they could bring someone in, so we’ll see if that’s the case.

Teut Inactive: Tom King of The Nashua Telegraph reports that the Nashua Pride have lost P Nate Teut as he heads back to school to pursue his education at Iowa State University. He also reports that the team will lose P Brian Looney on September 1st when he returns to Boston College. Teut is expected to return, no word on Looney. – Mike Ashmore
