Joining The ‘Stormers: The Lancaster Barnstormers did sign outfielder Chris Van Rossem. According to a source, the team also signed Giancarlo Alvarado, who was on the Newark Bears earlier this season.

Patriots Win!: The Somerset Patriots beat the Newark Bears 10-2 in the re-visitation of the suspended game from Tuesday. The Bears sent three pitchers to the plate and Patriots reliever Gene Stechschulte struck out all of them on nine pitches — obviously all strikes. The game was closed to the public.

Ashmore’s Take: That’s what you get for a stupid idea.

Bullinger Signs: Former Somerset Patriots pitcher Jim Bullinger signed with the Chicago White Sox today and will report to Triple-A.

Patriots Ink Two: The Patriots officially signed pitchers Adam Larson and Saul Solveson today. Larson played for the St. Paul Saints of the Northern League this season and was aquired in a deal that will send the Saints a player to be named later.

Solveson has all independent ball experience. – Scott Stanchak.

Bluefish make a move: The Bridgeport Bluefish activated D.J. Boston and released Peanut Williams. – Mike Ashmore
