Just Plain Strange: One of the first e-mails I received in my inbox upon arriving home from vacation was from someone familiar with the Nashua Pride. They — as well as Mr. Ashmore — were excited to see that the team got a new web site; however, there’s a problem. The stadium that is on the header is not Historic Holman Stadium, rather another one. I can make out an Atlanta Braves banner hanging on the wall, so perhaps it is an affiliate of theirs, either way, I figured I’d let you in on this. – Scott Stanchak.

Mike’s Note: Mr. Stanchak is right, that’s a Marlins pitcher throwing to a Braves batter in what appears to be Turner Field. Yikes.

AL Scoreboard: Somerset beat Bridgeport, 10-1. Ryan Radmanovich has been red hot over the past few weeks and today was no exception, as he hit his 18th and 19th home runs of the year and had 5 RBI.

Lancaster scored a franchise high 16 runs en route to a 16-2 drubbing of the Ducks. Jutt Hileman drove in a franchise high seven runs in the win. Justin Lamber’s good stretch was quickly put to an end, as he allowed nine of Lancaster’s 16 runs. Henry Rodriguez, however, was a bright spot for the Ducks as he extended his hitting streak to 19 games.

Atlantic City beat Camden, 6-4, behind a five run fifth inning. Ozzie Timmons and Jose Velazquez each drove in two runs for the Surf.

Nashua beat Newark, 16-7. Mike Torres and Shane Hopper drove in four runs apiece, and Brian Becker drove in all three of his on his league leading 28th home run. The Pride have another league leader, and it’s Denny Harriger. He picked up his league high 12th win, benefitting from Nashua’s huge offensive output. – Mike Ashmore
