AL Scoreboard: Somerset used a three run eighth inning to get past Bridgeport, 5-4. Kevin Nicholson had three RBI, including a two run home run. Ryan Radmanovich hit a solo shot. Tony Rodriguez drove in two runs for the Bluefish, as did Hector Kuilan.

Camden beat Atlantic City, 13-4. Lincoln Mikkelsen had a rough time tonight, going five innings and allowing 11 hits and 13 earned runs against his old team. Meanwhile, his former teammate Ben Simon was great, going seven innings and allowing two earned runs on nine hits.

Adam Capodieci resurfaced for the Surf, going 0-for-1 in a pinch hitting appearance.

The Ducks beat the Barnstormers, 4-2. Lance Davis allowed two runs over seven innings to get the W. His milkshake is better than yours. Henry Rodriguez hit a three run shot for Long Island, with Steve Torrealba hitting a solo shot.

The Newark Bears beat the Nashua Pride, 9-3. Wil Quintana and Jerson Perez each hit two home runs for Newark in the win. Brian Becker still managed to go yard, his 27th longball of the year.

Elder Gone: The Somerset Patriots have lost P Dave Elder for the second time in two seasons. This time, it was the Kansas City Royals who showed they had brains, signing the electric reliever. Elder appeared in 32 games for the Patriots this season, going 4-1 with a 1.47 ERA.

Elder’s fastball is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and I really think that he has an excellent shot to get back to the big leagues. My only concern is that he’s never pitched in the PCL before, and the hitting numbers are rather inflated over there as compared to the IL.

Nashua Unveils New Site: Holy crap, I don’t believe it. Rather than sugarcoat my actual response, I figured I’d put it as is. The Nashua Pride have finally changed their website around, and it has the makings of something nice. There are still some things that need to be ironed out, such as backgrounds and pictures loading, but they’ve the basis for a good site. The only downside? They still don’t put up game recaps until the day after the game. – Mike Ashmore
