Going Up: The San Fransisco Giants recalled former Somerset Patriots pitcher Brandon Puffer from Triple-A Fresno. – Scott Stanchak

Scoreboard: In front of a packed house at Commerce Bank Ballpark, the Barnstormers beat the Patriots, 5-4. 7,719 fans saw Ryan Minor’s line drive home run to left field give the Barnstormers the lead and ultimately, the win. Jason Bryan also homered for Lancaster. Ryan Radmanovich and Jeremy Owens homered in the loss for Somerset.

The Surf beat the Bears, 4-1, in front of a season high crowd of 4,088 at The Sandcastle. Ben Grezlovski picked up his league leading 13th save for AC.

Long Island beat Bridgeport, 6-5, in front of a standing room only crowd of 5,550 at Harbor Yard.

6,889 fans saw the Riversharks come from behind to beat Nashua, 8-7, at Campbell’s Field. Glenn Murray hit his league leading 12th home run in the loss.

The Ozz-Man Selleth: Well, you might not be an Atlantic League player, but you can own an Atlantic League MVP trophy. Former Newark Bears OF Ozzie Canseco is selling his Atlantic League MVP trophy on eBay on the undercard of his main prize, his 1990 A’s ALCS ring. The baseball from his first big league hit is also included.

A funny story I guess I’ll share is that when he tried to sell this last year, he included his phone number in the auction. Seeing how he was in the league well before I started covering it, I figured it would be worth a shot to give him a call and ask for an interview. Ozzie couldn’t have been nicer and took the time to answer any question I had for him. So if anyone ever wondered how I got that Ozzie Canseco interview, now you know.

Here’s What to Look For: Borrowing the line from ESPN Classic’s “Cheap Seats,” (one of my personal favorites, by the way) here’s what to look for on atlanticleaguebaseball.com: Ten Questions with Peter Bergeron and Brett Laxton are now posted. Ten Questions with Kevin Nicholson will be posted today. Ashmore’s Affiliation Update is scheduled to be completed today. – Mike Ashmore
