Scoreboard: The Somerset Patriots defeated the Long Island Ducks, 4-0, behind Derek Lee’s complete game. Kevin Nicholson hit a two-run home run for the first-place Patriots.

Over 7,600 fans saw the Patriots complete the sweep of the doubleheader, shutting the Ducks out again, 7-0. Greg Modica picked up the win for Somerset, going six innings.

The Surf also swept a doubleheader, beating Nashua 3-1 and 6-3.

Newark didn’t want to be left out, sweeping their doubleheader with Camden. They won each game by one run, winning 5-4 and 4-3.

Lancaster beat Bridgeport, 8-3, behind Ross Peeples’ complete game five hitter. Raul Marcano, Oreste Marrero and even Quincy Foster homered for Lancaster. Peeples evened his record to 3-3.

Ten Questions Update: Ok, I’ll step off the soapbox for this one. Not to say I’m not still miffed with the situation, but anyway…

Using the “thanks for your time, now can you please get me (insert name of player here)” system; Pete Rose, Jr., Chris Latham and Todd Erdos were kind enough to give me a few minutes for some Ten Questions features.

I’ll try to get them up shortly, but I have an affiliation update to work on as well, so it might be a bit.

I’ll see what I can get done on Sunday, but Sundays are the absolute worst day to get anything done on, so… – Scott Stanchak and Mike Ashmore.
