MLB Alumni News: Could Jose Offerman be returning to the Atlantic League? Further ruining my original plans to talk to Offerman and Pulsipher in the big leagues and more or less destroying my big feature plans, the Phillies activated Kenny Lofton and designated Offerman for assignment. That gives the team 10 days to trade him, have him clear waivers and send him to the minors or release him outright. – Mike Ashmore.

Player Signing: The Camden Riversharks have signed SS Jason Dellaero. Dellaero has MLB experience with the Chicago White Sox and made his AL Debut as a defensive replacement on Sunday in Somerset.

Suspension News: Somerset Patriots third base coach Liam Healy was suspended two games for allegedly bumping an umpire during an argument in Saturday night’s game. He served the first game on Sunday afternoon.

Going To Affiliate: Former Newark Bears pitcher Greg Bauer signed with the Philadelphia Phillies organization and will report to Clearwater, according to a source.

Scoreboard: The Bridgeport Bluefish complete their fourth
walk off win of the season against the Atlantic City Surf 7-6 in front of 2,385 fans at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Saturday night…The Long Island Ducks dropped a 4-3 decision to the Nashua Pride in front of 6,250 fans at Citibank Park on Saturday…The Somerset Patriots defeated the Camden Riversharks 4-3 before 6,131 fans at Commerce Bank Ballpark on Sunday afternoon. – Scott Stanchak.
