The Long Island Ducks signed pitcher Paxton Crawford and infielder Rob Cafiero to contracts. Crawford was thought to be signing with the Nashua Pride, where he spent time in years past, and Cafiero has experience with the Pennsylvania Road Warriors…

The Newark Bears signed former major leaguer Fransisco Santos, who played in 2003 with the San Francisco Giants. They also signed Blas Cedeno, a pitcher who spent time in the A.L. with the Camden Riversharks…

As I first mentioned this weekend, Bill Pulsipher left a game against the Phillies after falling off the mound. Today the St. Louis Cardinals placed the former Ducks pitcher on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain. – Scott Stanchak.
