The Lancaster Intelligencer is reporting that the Lancaster Barnstormers have lost two “signees” to major league organizations. This is quite interesting considering if they did, these players were never announced so how are we supposed to know who or if this is true. Sometimes in the AL, players agree to sign with a team, but get an offer to play for a major league team and of course take that offer. More examples of the strange way this team is being run. (Note: The two players are said to be Clayton Andrews (Angels) and Pedro Diaz (Astros); however, neither were ever said to be officially on the Barnstormers)…The Camden Riversharks may have Stephen Drew, JD Drew’s brother, playing for them this season. The first-round pick is still negotiating with the Arizona Diamondbacks and if he can’t agree to terms, will join Camden. He will then be eligible for the draft again in June. – Scott Stanchak.
